DBSM is dedicated to up–lift the poorest of the poor section of societies, regardless of caste, creed, color or religion, who are socially and economically depressed, with the realization that education to this section of society alone will ameliorate their poverty. DBSM has chosen as its primary target group the poor children, educated deserted girls, semi-educated women so that by giving them the right environment, education, affectionate care and creating in them the necessary will not merely to exist but to live a decent life of their own.

DBSM is engaged in creating an environment for these target groups since 1985, so that they prepare themselves for a decent and contented life. There are so many hurdles such as the economic compulsions of the children which do not allow them to pursue their education or to achieve their life goals for want of assistance in maintenance from their families. The rate of school dropouts after attaining primary and middle standard is very high . At this age , they are considered able to work to supplement their family income. To arrest this trend, DBSM has formulated a project to ameliorate levels of education among the children belonging to poor sections of society. There is an imperative need to encourage the children who are victims of peculiar circumstances, living below poverty line and cannot pursue their education or are forced to drop out of schools due to desertion, helplessness, economic compulsion or social reasons. In such circumstances, children need care and protection well in advance, on the basis of their aptitude and need.
